Mr. Vondis B. BOBO, age 74, of Light died of natural causes at Ridgecrest Health and Rehab Center in Jonesboro Wednesday morning, March 22, 2006.
He was born at Lorado to the late Charley and Mamie Farrar BOBO. He was the retired manager of Cupps Service Station, a member of Light Church of Christ in Light and served in the Korean War with the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his brothers, Wilgus BOBO of Boyne, Mich., Norris BOBO of Jonesboro, Marin BOBO of Bono and Donnie BOBO of Jonesboro.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margarett BOBO; two brothers, Alvis and Gary BOBO; and one sister, Jewell Hunt.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 24, at the Langford Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with Byron Griffey officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Lorado.
Active pallbearers will be Stacey Broadway, Roger BOBO, Keith BOBO, Danny Greer, Jerry Sullins, Norris Dacus, Billy BOBO and Byron BOBO.
Visitation will be from 6-8 this evening at Langford-Bookout Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Ave. in Jonesboro.
