John A. Birchfield or Burchfield KY 1832-1872 married Nancy Blankenship 23 June 1859. Nancy later married William Stokes (1829-1912 Sharp Cemetery Evening Shade) Dec 1861 Evening Shade, Sharp County, Arkansas. John served in Company F, 38 Arkansas Infantry, Enlisted 16 July 1862 at Evening Shade.
