Note: This is a remarkable stone. It appears that the flat part with writing was ground flat. The area above the writing was chipped out. The writing is very fancy cursive.
Information received from jlatkinson2005@yahoo.com July 2012: Samuel E Rosamond headstone was carved by his son Charles N. Rosamond (burried at Tarlton Cemetery). I remember him carving the stone and he showed it to me when he had finished. After he had placed the stone on the grave, I went back with him later to see the headstone. He just couldn't bear the thought of his father not having a headstone.
