The home of Mr. & Mrs. Sam Gray was saddened when the death angel came and took their oldest daughter, Miss Josie, to rest. Josie was born at Wickes, Arkansas, October 27,1893. She had reached the age of 25 years, 1 month and 13 days and departed this life December 4,1918 with pneumonia.
She was converted in the Freewill Baptist Church in September 1914 and lived a true Christian till the end came. She leaves to mourn her death a mother and father, 5 brothers, 4 sisters. She was loved by all who know her. She was laid to rest in the Mountain Fork Cemetery.
