Oscar the son of Oxley Glenwood Murphy and Bertha Mae (Saffell) Murphy. Orpha the daughter of Andrew Jackson Adkisson and Edith Chloe Ringle Adkisson.

EGYPT -- Oscar Haywood Murphy, 96, of the Egypt community died Saturday, Dec. 4, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He lived in the Egypt community all his life and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Orpha L. Adkisson Murphy of the home; one son, Glenn Murphy of Walnut Ridge; two grandchildren, Virginia Blair Bullard and Crockett Glenn Murphy, both of Walnut Ridge; one great-grandson and three stepgreat-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oxley Glenwood and Bertha Mae Saffell Murphy.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at House-Gregg Funeral Home at Walnut Ridge, with Don R. House and A.J. Stracener officiating.
Burial will be in Markham Cemetery near Egypt.
Pallbearers will be J.T. Chronister, Ellis Hooten, Bill Fort, Bud Fort, Odell Fort, Ernest Caraway, Warren Baxter and Jerry Felts.
Honorary pallbearers will include Billy Joe Hoffman and Fordy Hooten.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
