Mrs. Charles W. (Dorothy Ann) Atkinson, 64, Fayetteville, died June 30 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born May 9, 1913, at Garden Grove, Calif., she was the daughter of Alfred B. and Minnie Polk Fort Waldrep, a graduate of Oklahoma College for Women and a member of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. She was a member of the Charity League, Washington Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and the Sewing Club.
Survivors include her husband, Charles W. Atkinson of the home; two sons, John W. Atkinson, Owensboro, Ky., and James C. Atkinson, Martin, Tenn.; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Maddox, Fayetteville; one brother, A.B. Waldrep Jr., Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Mrs. Louise B. Wolfe, Stillwater, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Nelson Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Dr. Joel Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Nelson.
