Retired farmer Edgar W. Chapman, 82, of Mt. Home, died at Leisure Lodge Nursing Home April 10. A lifetime resident of Baxter County, Mr. Chapman was born Jan 17, 1903 at Advance.
Survivors include his wife, Effie May Chapman of Mt. Home. They were married Oct 23, 1966 in Mt. Home. Other survivors are three sons, Lavern Chapman of Payola, KS, Ray Chapman of Basehor, KS, Bobby Dean Chapman of West Germany; one daughter, Jeannie Evans of Scio, OR; four brothers, Marvin Chapman and John Chapman, both of Mt. Home, and Wilson Chapman and Oscar Chapman, both of Norfork; four sisters, Vivian Chapman, Dorothy Bench and Mary Hurst, all of Norfork, and Tina Freeman of West Staton, OR; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Chapman was a member of the Wand and Cross Streets Church of Christ of Mt. Home.
Services were held at the Church of Christ April 12 with Brother Jimmy Howard officiating. Interment was at the Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Roller Funeral Home.
