Son of William Lafayette "Doc" Caststeel & Prudence Ann Beavers Caststeel.
Married (1) Effie Moore, November 22, 1903, Baxter County, Arkansas (& later divorced).
Married (2) Anna Sharp, May 9, 1915.

Henry Preston Casteel, aged 78, of Mt. Home died Friday night in a local hospital.
Funeral Services will be held in the Fairview Methodist Church at Buford, with Rev, James Hershberger, pastor of the Mt. View Mennonite Church officiating. Rites will be Thursday (today) at 2PM. Roller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Casteel, a retired farmer, was born at Buford July 13, 1882, the son of the late W.L. Casteel and Ann Beavers Casteel. He was a lifetime resident of Baxter County and was a member of the Mennonite Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anna Casteel of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Emil Adamson of Marietta, Ohio, Mrs. Ivon Wilbur of Sunnyside, WA and Mrs. Margie Knight of Mt. Home; four sons, Carl of Cowiche, WA, John of Eufalla, OK and Amel of Seattle, WA and Sgt. Walter Casteel, who is stationed with the US Army in Korea; 14 grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a brother Riley Casteel of Torrance CA and a sister, Mrs Nellie Perry of Norfork.

(Note: Henry Preston Casteel shortened his surname by removing an "st" from the way his ancestors had spelled the name.)
