Mrs. Anna Sharp Casteel, 75, of Route 2, Mt. Home, died at her home south of here Wednesday, May 8. Funeral services were held at 2PM Saturday in the Fairview Methodist Church of Buford with Rev. George Cieary and Rev. James Hershberger officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery with the Roller-McClure Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Casteel was born March 8, 1888, at Pyatt, the daughter of the late Samuel Sharp and Patsy Sharp. She was a lifetime resident of Marion and Baxter counties, and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Carl of Cowiche, WA, John of Tecumseh, OK, Amel of Seattle, WA and Sgt. Walter Casteel with the US Army at Pine Bluff; two daughters, Mrs. Ivon Wilbur of Sunnyside, WA and Mrs. Margie Knight of Mt. Home; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild and one sister, Mrs. Hettie Cecil of Harrison.
Pallbearers were Ed Pinkston, Odus Duggins, Huston Pitchford, Robert Flock, Harvey Stevens and Charley Kellem.
