George Francis Burks, 81, of Mt. Home, a retired Civil Service employee, died Saturday at a Calico Rock hospital. A Methodist and native of Indiana, he had lived her since 1950.
He was born Jan 8, 1890, the son of Charles Burks and Dora Anderson Burks.
Survivors include three brothers, Ernest SeDessie Burks of St. Louis, MO, Charles F. Burks of Junction City, CA, Robert P Burks of Toledo, OH; and two sisters, Mrs. Emily Eichenberg and Mrs. Margaret Schultz of California.
Services were conducted Tuesday at the Memorial Chapel. Bro. Wayne Yoder, minister of the Buffalo Mennonite Church, officiated and interment was in the Fairview Cemetery at Buford. The McClure-Smith Service was in charge of arrangements.
