(A birth date of 1904 is inscribed on the gravestone; however, Arkansas Prior Birth Records show a birth date for John Ray Jordan of April 29, 1903.)

Ray Jordan, age 56, a former resident of Baxter County, died yesterday in Peoria, IL. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Saturday at the Fairview Methodist Church near Buford with Rev. Gerald Martin officiating.
Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, with Roller Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jordan was the son of the late Bob Jordan and Mrs. Mary Bettis Jordan. Survivors include a brother, Roy of Peoria and three sisters, Mrs. Maude Pitchford, Mrs. Rosie Hopper and Mrs. Charles Lovelady all of the Buford Community.
