Jim T. Aikman was born November 2, 1908 in Yell Co., Arkansas and died March 24, 1979. He was the son of James Edward and Sallie Ann (Gibbs) Aikman and had siblings Anson Marcellous, William Forrest, Allie, Tracy Thelma and Herman Hoyle Aikman. He married Etoil Magness on December 30, 1927 and they had children Bruce Lynn and Lou Ann Aikman.

Etoil Magness was born October 11, 1911 in Bluffton, Yell Co., Arkansas and died April 7, 2004. She was the daughter of John and Lou Ella (Poda) Magness.
