Charles Wyman Cooke, 77, died Monday at his home near Buffalo following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2PM today in the Fairview Methodist Church near Buford with Rev. Gerald Martin and Rev. Frank Hurst officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of the Roller Funeral Home.
Mr. Cooke, a retired mason, had lived in Arkansas for the past 24 years. he was engaged in farming in the Buffalo community prior to his illness.
Born in Beloit, KS on June 6, 1882, his parents were the late Albert L. Cooke a native of Wisconsin and Mrs. Harriett Kirkpatrick Cooke. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Mr. Cooke is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Cooke of the home; two sons, Vance Cooke of Daly City, CA and Rev. Donald Cooke of Bristol, TN; two daughters, Mrs. Ava Swan, Roswell, NM and Mrs. Alice Misic of Route 2, Mt. Home; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Cooke of Cotter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Clancy Layfield, Harvey Stevens, Mike Haviland, Lewis Knight, Abe Heiskill and Bus Fletcher.
