Visitation for Andrew N. Salmon of the Buford Community will be from 9AM to 9PM Wednesday at Roller Funeral, with the family receiving friends from 6-9PM. Mr. Salmon died Monday (Aug 22, 1988) at White River Medical Center at Calico Rock. He was 69.
Services will be held at 2PM Thursday at College and North Church of Christ with Brother Mike Shero officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Susie Taylor Salmon, at home; four sons, Garry Phillips of Judsonia, Richard Salmon of Redwood Falls, MN, Michael Salmon of Rockford, IL and George Salmon of Rogers; one daughter, Mary Thompson of Cherokee Village; one brother, Roy Salmon of Prim; four sisters, Lily Baker of Coloma, MI, Irma Holland of California, and Georgie Weatherford and Ruby Southerland both of Searcy; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Ada and several brothers and sisters.
A native of this area, Mr. Salmon was a retired custodian. He was born April 16, 1919, to the late George and Mary Albright Salmon. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in World War II.
