John C. Reeves, 87, died Sunday at Chastain's Nursing Home. He had been a resident of Mt. Home Since 1932 and was formerly of Oklahoma. Born Dec 20, 1893, at Wiseman, he was a farmer and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Riley Reeves and Carol Reeves, and by his wife, Lulla May England Reeves, on June 10, 1965. He was also preceded in death by one son, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include one son, Ed Reeves of Mt. Home; two daughters, Ollie Butler and Evelyn Ryan, both of Ash Flat and Clarence Reeves of Washtuca, WA; four sisters, Laura Mooney, Lillie Mooney and Josie McCollum, all of Salem and Mary Mooney of Stewart, OK; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Services were held Tuesday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Bilyeu and Rev. Ed Rogers officiating. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers included George Butler, Bob Butler, Gerald Reeves, Billy Reeves, John Reeves and Dean Chapman.
