(Note: Gravestone has death date of 1933; however, three articles concerning her death were in various August editions of newspapers and they all gave a death date of July 1931.)

Willie Mae Pitchford, daughter of C.D. and Myrtle Pitchford was born at Rodney, AR, Sep 2nd, 1929. She was a perfect child physically and mentally. She never had really had a sick day until she had an attack of scarletina with other complications. Everything was done for her that could be done, but for no avail. After twelve days our little darling passed from earth to Heaven. We laid her to rest in the Fairview Cemetery Friday, July 31, 1931.
she was a precious jewel give to us to keep for a short time. Oh, how hare it was to give her back to our Savior. Such a joy she brought to our home none can know save an indulgent parent, neither can any other know the sadness in our hearts.
Willie Mae was a friend to all she knew and all who knew her loved her fervently.
We feel that God in calling Willie Mae Home did as we would do in a flower garden when we pluck the flower for a bouquet, He selected the fairest.
