Mrs. Grace Viola Peace, aged 83, of Wichita, KS, died at Wichita Wednesday of last week.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 3PM in the Fairview Methodist Church at Buford, with Rev. J.H. Purdom of Yellville, Rev. Harold Elmore of Mt. Home and Rev. Kelley of Wichita officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Roller-McClure Funeral Service.
Mrs. Peace was the widow of W.B. Peace and a former resident of the Shady Grove community. She was born November 6, 1879, in Lincoln County, KS, the daughter of the late Solomon David King and Emily Caroline King. She was a member of the Emanuel Baptist Church of Wichita.
Survivors include three sons. Vernon of Eureka, KS, and Alfred and Noel, both of Mt. Home; two daughters, Mrs. George E. Thompson and Mrs. Floyd Shaw, both of Wichita; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a brother, Willie King of Alberta, Canada, and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Willyard of Galt, CA, and Mrs. Callie Markley of Denver CO.
Pallbearers were Wayne Fleming, Dee Jackson, Carl Cody, Marlon Buchanan, John Reeves and Ralph Harris.
