Bernice Bolding, age 92, of Cartney, died Friday, Sep 14, 2007. She was born Feb 22, 1915, in Mt. Home to John and Edna (Haney) Erwin. Mrs. Bolding was a retired waitress who loved to help others and especially to cook. Until very recently, she enthusiastically helped at the poll during elections and loved to fish, quilt and crochet. She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors are a daughter, Marion DeCavele of Kansas City; two grandsons, Ron (Jeanne) Bolding of Mt. Home and Craig DeCavele of Gladstone, MO; two great grandchildren, Chris and Jennifer; three great-great grandchildren; a sister, Dora Chrissonberry of North Little Rock; and several nieces, nephews and cousins, including her special niece and friend, Katherine Gibson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of more than 50 years, Loyd; a son Leonard; a granddaughter, Anna; two sisters, Neva and Norma; and three brothers, Bill Oscar and J.R.
Visitation will be from noon-9PM today at Roller funeral home with the family receiving friends fro 5-8PM. A funeral will be 2PM Tuesday at Roller Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Louis Stephens officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery near Buford.
