James Patrick Briggs, Jr was the son of James Patrick and Amanda Blair "Lucy" Albright Briggs and he was born in Yell County, Arkansas. James's siblings were Maiden, Ola, Annie L, Claudie, Valera, Flora Elizabeth, Eva, Sylva Elberteen, Mary B, Charles Shannon and Ina Lou.
Bertha
March 20, 1894 - December 6, 1988
Bertha Bell Buford was the daughter of William H and Rila Emmalyn Frye Buford and she was born in Briggsville, Yell County, Arkansas.
James Patrick and Bertha married January 1, 1916 in Yell County, Arkansas and they had children James Buford, Oscar L and Frankie Jean Briggs.
