Thomas Jefferson Fowler was the son of Johathan and Elizabeth (Roy) Fowler. He was born in Hendricks Co., Indiana. His siblings were Jemima Catherine, Evan V.B., Joseph William, John W., Ann C., David J. and Amanda E. Thomas Jefferson was in Co. E, 3rd Ark Cavalry, Union Army along with other relatives and others who became relatives when the war ended. Thomas and Mary were married Apr 1, 1866 at the Boles Homestead. They had children John William, Annie Laurie, Alfred Warren, Seth Thomas, Amanda Mae, Edrie, Earnest, Boyd, Mary Viola, Amy Neita, Amzi Boles and Byrdie.

She was a kind and affectionate wife, a fond mother and a friend to all.
This is the headstone of Mary Isabel Boles, daughter of John and Mary (May) Boles and wife of Thomas Jefferson Fowler. Mary was born in the Boles Homestead near Bluffton, Yell Co., Arkansas. Her siblings were Thomas, Malinda, William May, Eliza, Catherine, Martha, Alfred H., John James, Joseph Monroe, Andrew, Seth Thomas, Viola May and Laura Elizabeth.
