From Times Dispatch - Walnut Ridge, Arkansas - May 1, 1952 THEO DOYLES CELEBRATED 50TH ANNIVERSARY (by Mrs. J.D. Belk) Mr. and Mrs. Theordore Doyle of Hoxie, one of Lawrence County's most beloved couples, celebrated the 50th anniversary of their marriage last Sunday. The occasion also marked the birthday of Mrs. Doyle. Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Robins entertained with a 12 o'clock dinner in honor of her parents when a wonderful meal was enjoyed and an afternoon of pleasant fellowship. The following children were present: Mr. and Mrs. Robins, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Doyle and Nancy, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Doyle and children, Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Doyle, Jr. and children, Mrs. Billy J. Robins and Mrs. J.H. Spargo. Mr. and Mrs. Gordie E. Collins and daughter Lonise, Master Sergeant Harvie L. Collins and children called in the afternoon. Sgt. Collins, a veteran of combat service in World War II is at home on a 30-day furlough prior to leaving for duty in Labrador and New Foundland.
Mr. and Mrs. Theordore Doyle, the honor guests, received congratulations from the family and from many neighbors and old friends. Mrs. Walter Diffey of California and Hurshel Doyle of St. Louis, other children, were unable to be present.
