SPRINGDALE — Ronald Spencer Self, 30, resident of Springdale, died April 2, 2000, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Born Jan. 6, 1970, in Fayetteville, he was the son of Ronnie and Doris Griffith Self.

He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Springdale. Spencer enjoyed sports and was an avid collector, but received his greatest pleasure from his church life, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Cleo Self and the Rev. Harlan and Laura Griffith.

Survivors include his parents, Ronnie and Doris Self of Springdale; one sister and brother-in-law, Holly Bowerman and Scott of Springdale.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. April 5, 2000, at First Baptist Church in Springdale with the Rev. Bob Arthur and the Rev. Steve Moore officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be cousins Doug Glenn, Randy Glenn, Bryan Self, Jacob Logue, Mark Griffith and Rick Griffith.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Epilepsy Foundation, 4120 W. Markham St., Suite 101, Little Rock, 72201, or Life Styles Inc., 2479 W. Sycamore St., Fayetteville, 72703.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sisal Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
