Bob Horn, 68, retired farmer of near Cartney, was found dead in the woods near his home Wednesday. Sheriff Ernie Gentry said the death was apparently suicide and no inquest was held. A .22 calibre rifle was found beside the body.
Relatives said the man had been despondent for some time and that before he left home early Wednesday morning he told members of the family where his money was. A neighbor found the body half hidden near the creek about a mile from the home.
