The Baxter Bulletin
December 12, 1924

There is always sadness in death, but in some cases the sadness seems greater than in others.
Mrs. Sarah Jane Hopper, was born March 22, 1869. Died November 17, 1924. At the time of her death she was 55 years, 8 months and 3 days old. She united with the Christian Church in September 1885, and was Baptised by Elder King. She was married October 20, 1887, to James C. Hopper. Of this union eleven children survive.
Sarah Jane was a faithful companion, a loving wife, a kind sister and a friend to all who knew her. She leaves a husband, eleven children, 3 brothers and a father and other near relatives, and numerous friends to mourn her death. We are sad to give her up but God's will be done.
The funeral service were held at Fairview Cemetery, there to wait the resurrection.
