Mrs. Nancy Maude Goolsby, 89, of 606 East Eighth St., Mt. Home, died on Wednesday, Jan 3, at a local hospital. She was the mother of Mrs. Ben F. Gordon, with whom she resided.
Funeral services were conducted at the Memorial Chapel last Saturday afternoon with Rev. Stanley Howerton, minister of the Memorial Christian Church officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery at Buford, under the direction the Memorial Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were E.E. Moreland, Willis Mayfield, Charles Butter field, Ray Hutcheson, Lawrence Norrell and Charlie Jones. Mrs. Goolsby was born at Falls City, NE, on Nov. 10, 1878, the daughter of George and Eliza Thompson Goolsby. She moved to this area in 1952 and formerly resided in the Buford-Buffalo community. She had been widowed since 1953.
In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Gordon, she is survived by a granddaughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Nahas, of Baytown, TX and a sister, Mrs. Nell Vest of Wray, CO.
