Carmen Hines Waltman, 88, of Visalia, Calif., and formerly of Decatur, died Monday, Aug. 10, at Visalia.
She was born Feb. 14, 1904, at Decatur, to William F. Hines and Mattie Hinds.
She was a registered nurse and worked at several hospitals in California before moving to Visalia in 1955 to become chief industrial nurse for Sprague Electric Company. She was musical director and organist at Seventh Day Adventist Church where she was also a member.
Survivors are two brothers, Dale Hinds of Los Angeles, Bill Hines of San Antonio, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral is set for 3 p.m. Saturday at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Wayne Wiley officiating. Visitation will be noon-3 p.m. Saturday with burial at Decatur Cemetery under direction of Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
