Howard William Browning, 75, of Bella Vista died March 30 at Bates Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 23, 1907, in Lawrence, Kan. Most of his life was spent in Kansas, Idaho and Missouri, where he was a flight planning specialist for the Federal Aviation Administration. He retired in 1969 in Washington, D.C., and moved to Bella Vista.
Surviving are his wife, Allene Browning of the home; one son, Stephen Browning of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Janice B. Mauck of Topeka, Kan. and three granddaughters.
He was a charter member of the Bella Vista Baptist Church.
Burial was April 2 in the Decatur Cemetery. A memorial service was held in the Bella Vista Baptist Church by the Rev. George O'Neel with local arrangements by Callison McKinney Funeral Home of Bentonville.
Memorials may be made to the Bella Vista Baptist choir.
