Mr. Charles Monroe Abercrombie, 79 year old, resident of Decatur, Ark., died Monday morning at the Siloam Springs Memorial hospital after an extended illness.

Mr. Abercrombie was born April 18, 1898, at Maysville, Ark., and had been a lifetime resident of this area. lie was a retired heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include: his wife, Minnie of the home; one son, Dr. C.L. Abercrombie of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Henry of Maysville, Ark.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Abercrombie were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pyeatte Chapel with Rev. James Hillstead officiating. Burial was in the Decatur Cemetery under the direction of the Pyeatte Funeral Service.

Minnie Austin Ambercrombie, 75, of Decatur died Tuesday in Fayetteville. She was born Sept. 11, 1904 in Decatur.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and a life long resident of Decatur.

She is survived by one son, Dr. C.L. Ambercrombie of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Dovie Crowley of Decatur and Maude Aills of Salina, Kan.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Decatur with the Rev. Al Maines officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery under the direction of Pyeatte Funeral Service.
