Friday, December 22, 1905
KERNS, L.T. - L.T. Kerns died Tuesday night from a complication of diseases. He has lived north of here for many years and was a good citizen. He was a deacon and one of the leading members of the Baptist church of this place. The funeral services were conducted by Elder (tear in paper) and the remains laid to rest in the Decatur cemetery yesterday.

Frank Kerns, 57 years old, who has been an invalid about 30 years, died at the home of his brother, Will R. Kerns, in Decatur Tuesday night. He is also survived by by two sisters.
Funeral service was held at the Baptist church in Decatur Thursday afternoon with Rev. J.A. Scoggins conducting the service. Burial was in the Decatur cemetery.
