BLAISE, John - John Blaise, a prominent merchant of Decatur, died at his home last Friday. He has been in failing health for some time. He had been a resident of Decatur about fifteen years and had a large circle of friends.

(from The Decatur Herald) John Blaise died this morning at his home on Main street at 8:30 o'clock. He has been in poor health for six or eight months but has been bed-fast only a few weeks. He will be buried in the Decatur cemetery.
