Married (1) Mary Funkhouser. They were the parents of four daughters. The marriage eventually ended in divorce.

Eudell Lindsay Southard was born Nov 27, 1916, in Rodney to W.T. and Mary Jane Fields Southard. He passed away Sunday, Oct 10, 2004, at Baxter Regional Medical Center at age 87.
Eudell retired from Baxter County Road and Bridge Department where he drove a road grader for several years. He also spent time working for Eby Construction and helped build both Norfork and Bull Shoals Dams. He served a term on Norfork School Board. He was a member of Adams Masonic Lodge 164.
All who knew him, knew Eudll as and honest and honorable man who loved his family dearly. In his younger years, he was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend time in his shop tinkering on his tractors. He will be loved and missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
He is survived by a son, Keith (Nancy) Southard of Springfield, MO; four daughters, Betty (Barton) Teague of Salem, Maxine (Frank) Coggins of Springfield, Joanne (Danny) Hicks of Mt. Home and Wilma (Shorty) Teegarden of Norfork; three sisters, Nancy Bounds of Omaha, NE, Shirley Shelton of Mt. Home and Georgia Rand of Calico Rock; nine granchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends, including special friends Melvin and Ruby Small, Doug Wilson and Ed Grodon. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Mildred Suthard; both parents; three brothers, Murphy, Earl and Ralph Southard; one sister, Ruth McFeeney; and one grandson, Michael Coggins.
Visitation will be noon-9PM today at Roller Funera Home with the family present from 6-8PM.
A funeral will be 2PM Wednesday at Rodney Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Hodges officiating. Pallbearers will Jeffery Teegarden, Brandley Southard, Curtis Southard, Lynn Coggins, Bobby Hicks and Melvin Small. Honorary pallbearers will be Charley Hall, Doug Wilson, Ed Gordon and theo Funkhouser.
