DELLINGER, Georgia - Miss Georgia Dellinger, 50 years of age, passed away at her home in the Fairmount neighborhood sometime during the night of January 11th. Miss Dellinger for the past several years had been caring for her aged father at the family home and Mr. Dellinger did not discover that she was dead until early Friday morning. Mr. Dellinger is ninety-seven years of age and had considerable trouble in getting word to the neighbors for help. Miss Dellinger had many friends in her community and took a keen interest in the welfare of her neighbors and no better example of this loyalty was her weekly contribution to the columns of the Journal-Advance. Only last week she patiently gathered the news and mailed them to our office and before the printed page reached her home she had passed on. We are sorry to lose her from our staff of rural editors and we extend our sincere sympathy to her relatives and many friends who have suffered a great loss in her death. Miss Dellinger was laid to rest on last Friday afternoon, January 9th and the funeral service was conducted by Rev. Joe English, pastor of the Gentry Baptist church.
