Audie B. Whiteaker, daughter of the late Tile and Nora Dickerson Galloway, was born July 26, 1915, in Baxter County, AR. She departed this life on October 21, 2006, in Calico Rock, AR, at the age of 91 years, 2 months and 26 days.
She was united in marriage to Ernest Whiteaker in 1933. To this union, seven children were born. Audie spent her life as a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was employed by White River Health Care in Calico Rock, retiring after 25 years of employment. Audie was of the Baptist faith.
Audie leaves to mourn her passing; four daughers, Bonnie Rush of Mt. View, Carma Craig of Bentonville, Rlou Dye of Western Grove, and Ernestine Middleton of Viola; two sons, Carel Whiteaker of Green Forrest and Larry Whiteaker of Bentonville; one sister, Ola Carr of Clinton; 30 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Henry Witeaker; five sisters; Bertha Gaines, Bitha McBee, Tempie Henson, Ollie Rasor, and Alma Brewer; two brothers, Irvin Galloway and Lawrence Galloway.
Graveside funeral service was held Sunday, October 22, at 2:PM at Galatia Cemetery, under the direction Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock, with Alan Cartwright officating.
