Preceded in death by his first wife Hazel Ayers.
Married Alice Marie Montgomery, June 7, 1971, Celina, Mercer County, Ohio.

Charles Hubert Ayers, 87, of Norfork, died Monday (Nov 26, 1990) at his residence.
Services will be held Thursday at 2PM at the Norfork Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Bounds and the Rev. Forrest Bynum officiating. Visitation is today from 4 to 8PM, at Kirby Funeral Home and burial will be at the Galatia Cemetery with graveside Masonic Rites by the Masonic Lodge of Norfork.
Mr. Ayers was born on May 7, 1903, at Celina, Ohio, and was an electronics instructor. He married Alice Marie Montgomery Ayers on June 7, 1971, in Celina, Ohio, and was a member of the Norfork United Methodist Church.
Mr. Ayers was also a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge 241 at Celina, Ohio. He was a retired engineer for the City of Celina, Ohio and was a member of REA southern Indiana and Illinois. He also was a math and electronics instructor for the Lima, Ohio, High School and Standard Oil School of Electronics. He was a graduate of Ohio Northern and Coyne Electric University of Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Fank E. Ayers, MD and Anna M. Carter Ayers: twin brothers; and his first wife, Hazel.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Ayers of Norfork; two sons, Charles Homer Ayers and Frank Edwin Ayers both of Celina, Ohio; one daughter, Marilyn Belcher of Celina, Ohio; three step sons , Dane C. Edwards of Geneva, Ohio, Lee Thomas Edwards of Encinitas, CA and Neal Thomas Edwards of Hobo Sound, FL; three step daughters, Sherry Edwards of Encinitas, CA, Lynn Schoening of Bend, OR and Donna Lopez of Escondido, CA; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are members of the Masonic Lodge of Norfork
Honorary pallbearers are Sid Pickins, Benny Speaks, Paul Huskey, Jim Sisk, Jerry Reed and Danny Ponder.
Memorials may be made to the Norfork United Methodist Church, Norfork Childcare, or Foodbank of North Centeral Arkansas.
