Obituary in Benton Courier April 6, 1987, page 5:
Clara W. Barney, a resident of Rose Care II Nursing Home in Benton and the widow of Bill Barney, died today. She was 97.
She was a retired schoolteacher and taught 45 years in Oklahoma schools. She was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association and of the Presbyterian faith.
Survivors are one brother, Robert M. Weaver of Benton, and three nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Rosemont Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Wells officiating. Arrangements are by Ballard Funeral Home.
