Married Beulah Ada Pruitt, May 15, 1935, Melbourne, Izard County, Arkansas.

Harvey Aylor McGowan, 79, of Old Joe died Thrusday (Dec 23, 1993) at Springfield, MO
Services will be 2PM Sunday at the Old Galatia Church with the Rev. Donnie Speak officiating. Visitation is from 5 to 9-M Satruday at Roller Funeral Home, and burial will be at Galatia Cemetery.
Mr. McGowan was an Old Joe resident for 56 years, born at Culp on March 17, 1914. He was a machinist for 23 years for TWA and built and repaired musical instruments. He was a member of the Masons of Calico Rock for 47 years and the Royal Arch in Mt. Home. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Ada Pruitt McGowan, both parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mathew McGowan, a sister and a brother.
Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Lawrence of Springfield, MO and Linda White of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Orville McGowan of Culp and Cova McGowan of Calico Rock; two sisters, Clora Frakes of Bakersfield, MO and Elsie Staggs of Calico Rock; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
