He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 8 in Yakima, Washington, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars 2877 in Toppenish, Washington.

Cairl Brunk, 52, of Buena died Wednesday, Feb 25, at Veteran's Hospital at Seattle.
He was born March 10, 1934, to John William and Alice Brunk at Iuka, AR. He received his education at Iuka and Calico Rock, AR, graduating from high school at Calico Rock in 1953.
He joined the US Army in November 1953, serving in Korea and Germany until 1958. He married Mary Nell Pfingsten of Mt. Home, AR, Sep 7, 1962 and they moved to Yakima Valley in 1966, making their home at Buena. He worked for Snokist, Stokely Van Camp and the Idaho processing plant at Zilah.
He belonged to the Faternal Order of Eagles, Acrie 2229 in Toppenish, was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 8 of Yakima, Veterans of Foreign Wars 2877 of Toppenish and the Eagle Survivors Club Fund of Toppenish.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Nell Brunk of Buena, and a brother, Frank Brunk of Calico Rock, AR.
Services were held Tuesday March 3, at Valley Hills Mortuary in Zilah. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
