Mrs. Sarah Bell Whitehead, aged 78, died Wednesday, January 31, at her home in Norfork. Funeral services were held at 2PM Friday in the Norfork Methodist Church with Rev. George R. Clearey officiating. Burial was in thr Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Mrs. Whitehead, a lifetime resident of Baxter County, was born at Norfork on June 10, 1883. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Alex Lackey of Norfork, Bill Whitehead of Billings, OK, and Troy Whitehead of Trumann; three daughters, Mrs. Janie Beard of Norfork, Mrs. Loraine Martin of Stockton, CA and Mrs. Julia Perry of Mt. Home; 34 grandchildren; 46 great grand children; two great great grandchildren; and four brothers, Andrew Cunningham of Newark, Perry Cunningham of Happy, TX, Ed Cunningham of Pontiac, MI, and Walter Cunningham of Norfork.
Pallbearers wer Hoyd Lewis, Paul Hogan, Eddie Dickerson, J.B. Clark, Robert Luther and Sid Skidmore.
