Died June 28, 1953, Calico Rock, Izard County, Arkansas.

John William Brunk, aged 60, a resident of this section for many years, died suddenly at his home, three miles west of here, Thursday morning of last week. He appeared as well as usual upon arising early that morning, collapsing a few moments later while his wife was engaged in preparing breakfast.
He was born at Witt Springs, AR, and moved to this secton some thirty years ago. He was married to Miss Alma Snellgrove in 1929. He was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Frank and Carl.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. J.D. McNair, were held at Galatia Chruch, Friday afternoon. Burial was in Galatia Cemetery with the Hall Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
