Son of James M. & May Ellis Wilson.
Married Dixie J. Hendrix, September 14, 1946, Mountain Home, Baxter County, Arkansas.

Services for Vernon L. Wilson, 58, of Norfork will be at 2PM Tuesday in the Old Galatia Church.
A lifetime resident of the area, Mr. Wilson died Saturday (June 27) at Baxter County Regional Hospital. He was a construction worker.
Visitation will be from 9AM-9PM today at Roller Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8PM.
Mr. Wilson was born March 2, 1929 at Oil Trough, the son of May (Ellis) and James M. Wilson. He married Dixie Hendrix on Sep 14, 1947.
Survivors include his wife Dixie, at home; three sons, David Ray Wilson and Robert Wilson, both of Norfork, and James Wilson of Norman, OK; six daughters, Rose Jones of Calico Rock, Jetta Wilson and Rita Parnell, both of Norfork, Randa Wilson of Whiteville, Jeanette Staggs of Lakin, KS and Carmen Kurtz of Burton, KS; his mother Ethel May Ellis Wilson; four brothers, Hayes Wilson of Jacksonville, Kermith Wilson of Calico Rock, William 'Bill' Wilson of Mt. Home and Colbert Wilson of Salesville; one sister Carmen Crow of Charleston, WV; and 13 grandchildren.
Burial will be at Galatia Cemetery with Dwight Teegarden, Earnest Teegarden, Willis Teegarden, Shorty Teegarden, Roe Whitfield and Bill Franks serving as pallbearers. Herman Teegarden and Emmit Dolin Acklin will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
