Son of Joseph Ceaphus Wallis & Phoeba Satterfield Passmore Wallis.
Husband of Allie Wallis.

July 29, 1965
Joe Luther Wallis, 41, of Kansas City, KS, died Sunday at the University of Kansas Medical Center as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident Monday July 19, in which one other person was killed.
Funeral services were held yesterday (Wednesday) at 2 PM at the McClure Chapel with Rev. O.I. Ford officiating. Interment was in the Galatia Cemetery with the McClure Service in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Vernon Cox, Leonard Cox, Jerry Douglas, Sam Douglas, Monroe Parks and Robert Oles.
Mr. Wallis was born May 1, 1924, at Fifty-six and was the son of Joseph Wallis and Pheba Passmore Wallis. He was a member of the Baptist Chruch and had resided in Kansas City for the past thirteen months. He was employed as a cement mixer operator.
Mr. Wallis is survived by his wife, Mrs. Allie Wallis of the home; seven children, Mrs. Lavon Fobis of Ketchum, OK, Joe Wallis, Jr of Sunnyville, CA, and Paul, James, Robert, Jerry and Dennis Wallis, all of the home; four brothers, Buck of Mt. Home, George, Felix and Tobe of Mt. View and Tom of Lake City; five sisters, Mrs. Dove Standefer and Mrs. Opal Woehl of LaPorte, IN, Mrs. Velma Rassom of Mt. home, Mrs. Jewell Waldron of Greenville, MO and Mrs. Kate McClung of Mt. View; and six grandchildren.
