He was born in Ojai, California to Emmet and Mary Beatrice Carrie Cook.. Mr. Cook was a resident of Boone County for six years after moving from Colorado. He was a member of the Elixir Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the DAV, local VFW and American Legion.
