Maxine Havener Loosery, daughter of the late Adolph and Lucille King Havner was born April 7, 1924, in Calico Rock. She died May 9, 2004. She was 80 years old.
She was untied in marriage to Ewell Loosey March 5, 1942, in Calico Rock and to this union four children were born. During her working years, she worked at Baxter Lab until she retired. She attended the Iuka Church of Christ.
Mrs. Loosey is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Earl Killian of Calico Rock; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Stella Loosey of Old Joe and Lloyd and Cidny Loosey of Waverly, Tennessee; one sister, Elsie Moody of Iuka; three brothers, Clarence Havener of Old Joe, A.D. Havener of Salem and Charlie Honeycutt of Yellville; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She is preceded in death by her parets, husband and one daughter, Dorothy May Loosey; four sisters, Fern Honeycutt, Billie Greer, Betty Havner and Floy Goodman; one brother, LeRoy Havner; and one grandson, Steven Loosey.
Graveside service was held May 12 at Galatia Cemetery with Noel Moore officiating. Pallbearers were, Craig Killian, Raymond Branscum, Ben Loosey, Marty Wilson, Zack Killian and James Loosery.
Interment was at Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
