HARREL, John Wiley - The Bible promise "Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of light," was verified by the life work and recent passing of John Wiley Harrel to the land where all is peace and joy. His last years on earth were spent with his companion in the comfortable home of their daughter, Mrs. Cal Featherston at Centerton and they cared for him faithfully as he had for his family and friends in sickness while living in the New Home community. His unswerving honesty to God and humanity is seldom equaled and he endured the trials of life with rare patience. Patient even unto the last. He was loyal always to the church, superintendent of the Sunday school at New Home for many years, toiling willingly for the Master and his own household, never complaining or saying unkind words of anyone and that unusually fine trait of character is of untold value. May the Comforter abide with his loved ones. A Friend.
