WHITLOCK, J.B. - J.B. Whitlock was born in Tennessee in the year 1843. He professed faith in Christ in 1877 and soon afterward joined the Temperance Hill Baptist church and remained a faithful and consistent member until called to his final home. Brother Whitlock was joined in the holy bonds of matrimony to Ella M. Mallory in December 1872 and was a faithful and loving companion until separated by death. He departed this life April 26th, 1900. The funeral was attended at the home by the writer amid a large circle of weeping friends. The family extends a card of thanks to the many friends for the kindness shown in his sickness and death.
