Jasper Orville Northcutt, 93, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died November 6, 2011 at the Fayetteville Veterans Home. He was born January 23, 1918 at Pierce City, Missouri, the son of Cllyde and Ora Haddock Northcutt. He held a B.S.E. degree from Southwest Missouri State University, his M.S.E. degree from the Univeristy of Arkansas and his D.D.S. degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He was a retired dentist, pharmacist and educator. He was a veteran of World War Two, serving in the United States Army Air Corps and a long-time member of the Huntsville First United Methodist Church. He was a life member and past master of Huntsville Lodge #364, Free and Accepted Masons, the York and Scottish Rites, the Shrine, the Order of the Eastern Star and many appendent bodies of Freemasonry. He was also a member of Hayes-Smith Post #137, American Legion at Huntsville and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He was preceded in death his wife, Imogene Coger Northcutt, one brother and one sister. Throughout his life, Dr. Jasper believed in hard work and service to family, friends and the community. He will be missed.

Survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Jan and Jim Vawter and Nancy Eslick, all of Fayetteville, Arkansas; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and special friends, the Prado family.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Friday, November 11, at the Huntsville First United Methodist Church with Dr. Kevin Hatfield, eulogist and The Reverend Allen Crum officiating. Private interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Masonic rites will be held at 7:00 P. M. Thursday at the funeral home with visitation to follow until 8:00 P. M. Memorials may be made to the Huntsville Masonic Family Scholarship Fund, Post Office Box 1082, Huntsville, AR 72740-1082 or Huntsville First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, Post Office Box 1257, Huntsville, AR 72740-1257.
