BELLA VISTA — Clyde M. Sparks, 84, of Bella Vista died March 31, 2007, at Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville. He was born Aug. 24, 1922, to Robinson Lark Sparks and Flossie Snow Sparks.

He lived in Bella Vista for 26 years, and was active in the University of Arkansas Alumni Association. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was employed by Western Electric in Kansas City and Houston more than 35 years. He enjoyed golfing and was an active member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Sparks in 1995.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan Pilkerton and her husband Andy of Waller, Texas, and Laurie Sparks of Houston, Texas; one brother, Howard Sparks of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and one grandchild, Jennifer Pilkerton Casteel of Tulsa, Okla.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Bella Vista Funeral Home, online at www.funeralmation.com.

Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church with the Rev. Andrew Smith officiating.

Burial will be in the Bella Vista Cemetery.

Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Andy Pilkerton, Paul Casteel, Gene Jakobe, Dan Dillon, Dennis Dillon and Dave Buchanan.
