Mrs. Virginia Lee Teegarden, 64, of the Jordan community, near Norfork, died Thursday of last week at her home. A lifetime resident of Baxter County, she was employed as a cook at Norfok, by Ozark Oppoutunities, Inc.
Born at Jordan Nov 16, 1912, Mrs. Teegarden was the daughter of the late James S. Warner and Jessie Gardner Warner. She was married to Otto Teegarden March 31, 1931.
Surviving are her husband, of Jordan; three sons, Eranest Dwight Teegarden and Noel Willis Teegarden, both of Jordan, and Edwin Ben Teegarden of Dolph; seven daughters, Mrs. Velma Lee Pruitt, Mrs. Jessie Marie Napier and Mrs. Stella Gaye Loosey, all of Old Joe, Mrs. Esta Mae Foster of Norfork, Mrs. Lena Pearl Parnell of Mt. Home, Mrs Shirley Joann Moore of Flippin and Mrs. Martha Rose Stapleton of Calico Rock; a sister Eula Mildred Teegarden of Jordan; 32 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at the old Galatia Church, on State Highway 5 east of Norfork, with Rev. Paul Huskey of Norfork officiating. Interment was in the Galatia Cemetery, under the direciton of the Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Howard Teegarden, Larry Stapleton, James Loosey, Robert Moore, Ashford Napier and Henry Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Dean Parnell and Noel Foster.
