Son of James Wesley "Jim" & Evah Nora Acklin Greer.
Married Billie Jean Havner, May 15, 1948.
Married Lorida Weatherford, June 27, 1955.
Married Mary Ella Murtha, October 23, 1970.

(Note: When the gravestone was purchased an error was made in the name inscription. His middle name was Wesley, not Weasley.)

Funeral services for Vero W. Greer will be 2PM Tuesday at Norfork Church of Churst with Bro. Charles Rose and Bro. Guy Hester officiating. Interment will be in Galatia Cemetery. Mr. Greer died July 13, 2002, at Baxter Regional Medical Center.
He was born Aug 3, 1928, to James Wesley and Evah Nora Acklin Greer at McPherson. He was a lifetime area resident. He was a boilermaker and worked on the railroad. Vero was also a mechanic and at one time owned his own bussiness in Norfork and worked at Kent Chevrolet. He also helped to build both dams in the area. He married Mary Murtha on Oct 23, 1970, in Norfork. Vero enjoyed working in genaeral all his life. That was his enjoyment. He thoroughly enjoyed and loved his family. He was a member of the Norfork Church of Christ and a charter member of Local Union #69 having just received his 35 year pin.
Mr. Greer is survived by his wife, Mary Greer of the home; two sons, Jerry Dwayne (Barbara Jo) Greer and Dale Wesley (Fay) Greer all of Norfork; one brother, Lynn (Roberta) Greer of Norfork; three sisters, Virgie (Roe) Whitfield of Norfork, Berlie Harris of Union Star, MO and Thelma (Paul) Jeffery of Liberty, MO; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several step children; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two step children, Sonya Gray and Curtis Britt; two brothers, Thurlo Greer and Glenn Greer.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
