KIRBY, Hattie HOPKINS - Mrs. Hattie Kirby, aged 72 years, wife of Albert Kirby, died at the family home in Centerton Tuesday morning. While she had been confined to her bed for the greater part of the time the past six months her condition had not been regarded as serious until a week ago. Mr. Kirby is also quite ill. Funeral services were held at the home yesterday afternoon, the Rev. Clarence Coffelt conducting the services. Burial was made in the Barron cemetery. Mrs. Hattie Hopkins Kirby was born in Shelby County, Mo. and came here with her parents where she met and married Albert Kirby. They celebrated their golden wedding a few years ago. Mr. Kirby gave up farming about ten years ago and has lived in Centerton since that time. Besides her husband Mrs. Kirby is survived by a son, Charles Kirby, and three daughters, Mrs. Fred Keller, Mrs. John Hensley and Mrs. Henry Coffelt, of Centerton community, also by her sisters, Mrs. Wm. Morrison of Bentonville; Mrs. Lizzie Hamilton of Hartford, Ark.; a sister in California and four brothers who live in Portland, Oregon.
